Following could be the reasons why you are not able to add money and are shown message on the app. Reasons could be one of the following.1. You may not have completed KYC required for adding money into Wallet. If this is the case, you will have to provide minimum details of the KYC documents on the app.2. Your Minimum Details KYC may have expired due to which you cannot add money into the Wallet. However, you can continue to use your existing balance and use any other Payment modes available on PurnPay Account like Credit Card, Debit Cards, UPI, Netbanking etc.3. Your Wallet may have become Inactive as you may have not used the Wallet (Added Money or Spent Money) for more than a year. If this is the case, you will not be able to Add Money and Spend Money from PurnPay Wallet.
As per recent RBI mandate a wallet account would be created after providing OVD id as KYC details and mobile number verification. This wallet has an expiry of 12 months. You can do eKYC for your account after or before this time period doing so you may use your wallet account for lifetime.In case you are not providing any KYC details you can only transact at merchant website/outlets via PurnPay Gift Instruments and PurnPay PG services.
As per new RBI guidelines, withdrawal to bank account and transfer to other PurnPay account holders from your PurnPay account is not allowed. Withdrawal to bank account and transfer to other PurnPay account holders shall be available only for Full-KYC users. The same shall be launched shortly and you shall be notified.In the meantime, you can use your PurnPay balance to pay for goods & services at PurnPay website, app, merchant website/outlet.
Yes, there is a monthly transaction limit of INR 5,000 per month on Wallet. You cannot load more money into the Wallet until the start of next month. However, you can still pay at Merchants using PurnPay Gift Instruments, or through PurnPay PG (CC / DC / Net Banking/UPI).
