Introduced by NPCI, UPI Lite is an online wallet linked to a Bank Account that allows you to pay without UPI PIN.
No. You can activate UPI Lite on only one Bank Account on your PurnPay UPI App.
You can easily Activate UPI Lite on PurnPay in 3 simple steps.
Click on Activate Lite on the Home Page
Enter the Amount you wish to load in your Lite Wallet and choose Bank account.
Click on Proceed and enter your UPI Pin.
Your UPI Lite account is activated and ready to use. Make super fast Pin-free payments now.
If you wish to use another bank account for UPI Lite payments, you will have to first Deactivate your current UPI Lite account and activate UPI Lite again using the other bank account.
Only UPI Lite Wallet Load and Deactivation transactions will be visible in your bank statement. Since payment done via UPI Lite is not deducted from your bank account directly, they are not visible in your Bank Account Statement. If you wish to view these details, please check the ‘My Transactions’ section of your PurnPay app.
This could happen if :
Your Issuing Bank may not be live or does not support UPI Lite feature yet. You can try linking a different Bank Account and activate on Lite on the newly added account.
Your Bank may be facing some technical issues. You can retry after some time.
You already have UPI Lite activated on a different Bank Account on PurnPay.
Click on My Account icon in the top left corner on PurnPay Homepage.
Click on My Transactions.
You can scroll to see all your transactions or in the filter section, select UPI Lite to see only your Lite transactions.
If you have access to the same mobile number registered to UPI Lite, simply login and deregister your UPI Lite account. Deregistration transfers your balance back to your linked bank account. You can then activate UPI Lite on your new device.
If you can't access the same mobile number, contact your bank's customer support team to claim your old UPI Lite account balance.
We recommend you use UPI Lite as it provides a much safer, faster and superior transacting experience.
Nevertheless, you can easily deactivate your Lite anytime on the PurnPay app.
Click on the Lite Balance section on your Homepage to navigate to the Lite Homepage.
Click on the 3 dot menu on the top right corner.
Click on Deactivate UPI Lite option.
Verify the details on your screen and proceed with your confirmation.
Your current Lite account is now Deactivated.
You can easily activate Lite again on the same or different Bank account.
The Transaction limits for UPI Lite are -
Load Wallet : Per Transaction limit : Rs. 5,000/-
Maximum Wallet Cap Amount : Rs. 5,000/-
Lite Spend : Per Transaction limit : Rs. 1000/-
Lite Spend : Per day spend limit : Rs. 10,000/-
Lite Spend or Wallet Load : Number of Transactions - No limit
